Our
Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to:
TEACH the core of human biology on the platform of healthcare.
EXPOSE students to stem fields through the lens of medical science.
IMMERSE students in realistic, dynamic team-based problem solving exercises.
MOTIVATE students to think critically, be reflective and apply classroom knowledge.
INSPIRE a persistent interest in pursuing stem & healthcare professions.
Our Program Goals
-
A scientist can be defined as a person engaging in a systematic activity to acquire knowledge. In addition to inspiring our students to enter the STEM field, we are focused on helping them to think outside of the box, with no limits. We want them to think like scientists.
-
While scientific information can be remembered when taught in traditional classroom settings, students studying the same concepts through hands-on learning deepen their understanding by connecting the lessons to real-life experiences.
-
Our learning environment encourages students to develop self-efficacy and build teamwork skills. We are working with the next generation of thinkers, therefore we want them to be confident in their abilities to problem solve and share their ideas.
Our Patients
Our life-like mannequins are designed to replicate and simulate an array of real-world patients and their symptoms, bringing classroom science to life. During simulations, participants experience the real-life excitement of emergency room care in our state-of-the-art simulation lab, with the focus being to help them understand the intricacies of patient interaction, and bedside manner. By working with our mannequins, students are able to take information and knowledge from the classroom and transform them into skills they can apply.
