Pathmaker Program

Pathmaker is our first workforce development program for young adults (ages 18-29). The program is designed to prepare participants for early-career laboratory roles in the life sciences industry.

Pathmaker trainees gain hands-on experience with essential laboratory techniques used worldwide, such as micropipetting, gel electrophoresis, PCR, ELISA, and microscopy. Trainees also develop building-block professional skills like resume writing, interviewing, and networking. All trainees have the opportunity to spend time doing on-site, experiential learning with industry partners, including world-renowned hospitals and life science companies.

  • Build essential lab skills with hands-on training in cutting-edge techniques used in life sciences, preparing you for entry-level roles without the need for prior degrees or certifications.

  • Experience the real-life excitement of emergency room care in our high-tech simulation lab, treating STAN, our life-like interactive patient. Perform experiments with real patient samples and learn how lab tests are vital to STAN’s medical care. Work in teams with fellow lab researchers to analyze tests, diagnose and treat diseases in our Harvard Medical School lab.

ELIGIBILITY & BENEFITS

In order to be eligible to apply for the Pathmaker program, applicant must be a young adult between the ages of 18-29, a resident of Massachusetts and have US work authorization.

Participating trainees will receive a $1,500 stipend upon successful completion of the program.
